The day started quietly enough, it was an innocuous sort of day. Little did the boys in green, in the aftermath of the big match, realise what lay in store. It was a day of strange occurrences. It started on a particularly good note when it became clear that after two hours of not talking, Paul was not in fact in a deep meditative state but simply could not talk! There was much speculation that if he had bought an official replica jumper then he would have had a proper collar and would not have caught that nasty chill!!
Towards evening the lads descended on the Upstairs Bar. A trendy little spot in Olde Amsterdam Town where it was rumoured that Vincent Van Gough could be seen sipping on a pint of Heineken flavoured with some cherry tea!
As the night wore on, the lads sank increasing pots of tea. Late in the evening and fortified by the fruity flavoured teas the Bhoy’s partook of the ancient highland ritual of tossing the teabag, some more successful than others!
As the evening drew to a close the Crooners of the group, aided by a local songsteress, gave a rendition of tunes more past than present. A rousing finale featuring Tom, who despite all appearances was awake, of "I’ll Never Drink Again"!!
But don’t take my word for it, the camera never lies.
